On April 6, 2023 at 10 PM, I had lost EVERYTHING after Riverside Police department took me and my girlfriend to jail after a homeless man (Carlos Vega) had assaulted me behind the head with a baseball bat outside the McDonalds parking lot in Moreno Valley, CA.

The man Carlos Vega who had assaulted me was a convicted felon on parole. When Riverside Police came to investigate, the arresting officer and his friends refused to believe that he had started it and went into defense for the criminal without asking for his identity.

Instead of investigating him as the suspect which we told them he had started it, the police officers tried to manipulate the story by stating that we tried to kill him with the baseball bat knowing that it was untrue. So the cops, took us to jail on two charges for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Great Bodily Injury. The homeless man who had started it, was set free to leave the scene and never seen again!!!

Two days later, On April 8, 2023, my girlfriend was able to bond herself out of Robert Presley detention center and was released onto the streets at 3 AM in the morning. Since the cops didn't collect her purse and cell phone, she IMMEDIATELY became homeless and was unable to book a hotel, get food, clothing, call family and was unable to access her paycheck from UPS. She had to ask random strangers, panhandle and shelter herself inside a tent that somebody bought her while I was in county jail.

On June 5, 2023, the county released me from jail on an Own Recognizance. On Sept 11, 2023, the case was DISSMISSED. During trial, the county had already knew I was the VICTIM because they had the security footage from McDonalds parking lot, 911 transcript and also the attacker had a FELONY WARRANT but I didn't have ANY WARRANTS whatsoever nor a criminal history but because of my race they took away my liberty and helped a criminal who suppose to be in prison that night. The attacker NEVER cooperated with the investigation, falsely lied and was given a FREE PASS for committing a felony offense.

Before this incident occurred, my girlfriend and I had finished an evening shift for UPS and was going to celebrate my upcoming birthday on April 9. We had parked our RV inside the shopping center at McDonalds after getting off work and didn't expect to go to jail after FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE!!!

Since the police department didn't impound the RV, the homeless people around the surrounding area had burgalized the motorhome and had stolen everything we had owned. And after it sat there for a few days, the same police department had impounded it and auction it off.

What my family had lost!

  • Our Identity (social security, birth cert, hs diploma, certificates, DD214, etc)
  • Our sentimental family photos
  • Our job working together for UPS in 20801 Krameria Ave, Riverside, CA 92518
  • Our UPS uniforms
  • Loss wages
  • Our stability (the RV) (worth $8,000)
  • Clothing, Shoes, etc
  • Solar-Powered Generator (worth $1,000)
  • Champion Gas Generator (worth $1,000)
  • Power Tools
  • Computers, Printers, Tablets, etc
  • and other valuable things
Because we didn't have any family or residency in California, we IMMEDIATELY BECAME HOMELESS and had to survive everyday in the dangerous streets. I couldn't imagine the depression she underwent while I was incarcerated for two months before the public defender released me.

If you have a heart, we kindly ask that you can donate to our family so that we can rebuild our lives.
